Mister Ozzy the Dog - Life with the cat

 Hello friends!

So far, I’ve shown you a part of my clothing collection, explained what my mom and I went through, and mentioned that we’ve started living together as one big family – Leah, Oliver, NeMacka, the fish, and me.

I thought it was time to give you a few more details. So, let’s dive in!

We live in an apartment in Temerin, on the main and busiest street. However, the traffic noise doesn't bother us at all because we have our own little peace and quiet. In front of the building, there's a huge parking lot, and right behind it is my mini playground. The grass is always freshly mowed, there’s no noise, no crowd, and we often come here so I can play, roll around in the grass, and run in circles. Meanwhile, Leah and Oliver can play basketball on the court inside the park, or just sit on the swings and enjoy watching me.

A few times we all played basketball together, although when I catch the ball, I love to chase it, bite it, and I’m really not a big fan of sharing it afterwards. But when I hear mom laughing, I know she doesn't mind.

As for NeMacka... living with that cat is strange, to say the least. She’s just... I don’t know how to describe her without repeating that she’s weird. I don’t think she’s very happy that we live together. I think she thinks it’s only her apartment and that everything belongs to her. She isn't friendly and doesn't know how to play. I think she’s never seen a dog before, so maybe she’s a little scared of me. But I wish she knew I won't hurt her—I just want to get to know her a bit better.

Every time I see her walking around the apartment, I try to approach her, but then she runs away—either under the bed in the bedroom or she dashes and jumps onto the aquarium. That’s pretty high up, so I can’t see her very well. Another thing I’ve noticed is that she’s surprised by everything. I mean, okay, if she hasn't seen a handsome guy like me until now, it all makes sense. Still, that face of hers—looking like she has no idea what's going on or like she just saw a ghost—sometimes gets on my nerves a little bit.

I'll try to find a picture to show you exactly what she looks like.

Mom told me I have to be nice to her, that we should love each other and hang out, and I really do try, but she either ignores me or runs away. A couple of times she even hid behind the stove or under the aquarium in some kind of hole, so I sniff around looking for her thinking she's challenging me to play. From the dark, all I see are two eyes glowing kind of evilly.

In the beginning, I had a crate where I would stay until the cat got used to my presence, but that’s gone now. For a while, I slept there alone at night, and mom was very upset about it, even though she knew it had to be that way until we all relaxed. However, ever since that crate—well, it wasn't really a crate, more like a pen—was removed, I sleep with mom and Oliver in bed.

Ha! Take that, cat! NeMacka was used to sleeping in the bed before I moved in, but hey, we all know who the best boy is, who knows how to love, and who is loved more than anyone. Ever since I started sleeping in bed with them, mom has been happier, while NeMacka... maybe she's planning how to eliminate us all, I don't know. I have no idea what she does all night.

I know she tries to come into the bedroom with us. A couple of times around 2 AM, we chased each other around the room, but I can’t seem to explain to her that it's bedtime for me, not playtime. Plus, if I'm sleeping there, cat, that means it's my territory, and I defend my territory with all my heart!

I noticed another thing. NeMacka can be very antisocial. Oliver says she's independent and doesn't need constant attention, but I just think she's full of herself. She goes out onto the balcony by herself, sits on a chair, and watches and teases us through the window.

And you know what? I follow my mom everywhere. When she goes to the kitchen to prepare food, when she goes to the balcony to drink coffee, or while she’s tidying up the apartment, I’m always right by her side. I know she loves the sound of my little paws and my super smart face, because she kisses me every 10 minutes. While the cat... she just comes to check on us, often looking annoyed, and does nothing around the house.

Considering she's Oliver's cat, she betrayed him too. She never follows him or watches over him. But when it comes to food, she's the first in line, meowing loudly—and that’s probably the only time she acts sweet. Between us, I don't really like NeMacka, but I'm nice enough to respect her as my sister.

As for the fish, I don't have much to tell you. We have two aquariums, and I think the fish in both just mind their own business. They’ve never made a sound. I guess that’s how it’s supposed to be.

That’s all from me for today! There will definitely be more stories about the cat, you can be sure of that. This was just a small intro, just a piece of what's happening to us. Bye-yeee!
